Mehdi Emami is an Iranian singer living in Tehran. Graduated in Civil Engineering, at a very young
age he started learning music from his father, then began to focus on traditional Iranian vocal
technics, studying with Mohammad Reza Shajarian, Mohammad Reza Lotfi, Mohsen Keramati and
Hasan Adib. He has contributed to many albums and has performed concerts with various groups
and musicians inside Iran and in the other countries. The very particular tone color of his voice, the
interest he takes in various singing methods, as well as his knowledge of the Iranian ancient music,
makes him one of the most creative and talented young Iranian singers today.
